There is a lot that can be said about me, but none of it is important so I will give you the SparkNotes version. My name is Steve Clancy and I am a Web producer. I am currently an associate technical producer for ESPN.com. In 2007, graduated from Penn State with honors in Information Sciences and Technology (IST). As Web chief at The Daily Collegian, Penn State’s independent student newspaper, I helped infuse the Web into a print-centric organization and redesigned the home page. For my senior thesis, I studied the impact of most-emailed stories and Digg on online newspapers.
I grew up in Havertown, PA, outside of Philadelphia. I am the oldest of nine children, I have seven brothers and one sister. My dad is a high school football coach and my mom is a living saint. I spent five summers lifeguarding at Karakung Swim Club and still serve as the pool’s Webmaster. When I’m not playing with computers, I like to watch movies and collect DVDs. I am also have a pretty respectable music collection, with albums ranging from rap to indie to classic rock.
